I prefer asynchronous, dezentralized communication based on an open standard, that is used by many humans. Unfortunalty these demands are only satisfied by email at the moment.

There are a lot more options for communicating with me. However I’d like to choose them only if we are already in contact.
Emails don’t reach me quickly. I intentionally read emails only occasionally and not on my smartphone.
I like emails, that are compact and efficient. That’s why I prefer and expect short replies most of the time (VSRE). I also try to keep my emails short (five sentences per mail sounds good), to stop myself from formulating emails for too long (see this xkcd Comic).
If you’re interested in encrypting emails to me: the fingerprint of my PHP public key is 2390 E0EE 6521 1D17 56E5 B492 CBFA 8085 7694 EB9B (available on keys.openpgp.org). Check the Email Self-Defense guide by the Free Software Foundation, if you’re wondering how that works.
